How are the particles like after hard rocks are crushed by impact crusher?

The choice of the crushing equipment has great bearings on the production of acicular and flaky particles. Take the most widely used three kinds of crushers (jaw crusher, cone crusher and impact crusher) as an example here. Because of their different working principles, these three kinds of crusher will have different content of acicular flaky particles. The jaw crusher can crush hard stones with two flat plates, so the content of needle-like particles is the maximum (>15%~20%);

Cone crusher adopts two arc plates, so needle flake debris are not that much (10%~15%); while the impact type can crush ore with the plate hammer and counterattack plate and the weakest parts of the ore can be broken, so the acicular flaky particles’ content was the lowest (<10%). Production test indicated that the content of acicular flaky particles produced by PF1210 impact crusher after crushing the granite is no more than 5%.

Because the working principle, crushing plate hammer, impact plate and other parts are abraded relatively seriously, so this kind of machine is rarely used in crushing the very hard rocks. But the rapid development of the national engineering construction such as the high way, particular specifications of stones are required on the road. The content of acicular flaky particles should never exceed 10%. So this has created great chance for the impact crusher to play its role to the fullest.
